Here’s another test, far from perfect but was quickly based together…sorenson’s messing with the saturation so ignore the grading. This is shot 20a, another random one :) Starting on real shots tomorrow and looking forward to it :)

New Traffic Light Model
After much consideration we’ve desided to change the look of te traffic light - this is due to the fact that it physically would not be able move with the legs that it had attached. I whipped up a new wheel-based mechanism thingy for it.

The filming is also going very well, we were out for the last three days and managed to shoot 24 of our shots. And its freeeeezing!

New Compositing Test
Here is a test I made over the weekend, testing out the referenced models with their walkcycles and comping them all with FxTree in Xsi.
Also today we starting shooting and managed to get 7 shots filmed, and shouldn’t have much problem getting them all done this week if we can do at least that every day :) (its really cold outside tho)

Model Tests
We have both been rendering some quick tests with the models, showing off some rigging and dynamics and turnarounds. Hope you enjoy :)

Barrier City Walk/Rig Test
I’ve been rigging the BarrierCity model this evening so I made a wee test animation to go with it, need to possibly consider some ‘toe’ bending but we’ll see….

Here is a few variations of the signs that have been made so far. Also its an example of the 3 different types of sign fellas, as one lot of them will be Muddy, another batch clean and another graffitied as they are from different areas (you’ll find out more later I guess :) )
not posted much recently as we’ve been doing Storyboards/Animatics and pre-vis, but that is pretty much done now so we will post that up soonish
cheers!

basic animation test
Here is a wee test comp of another sign with a basic walk, modelled, rendered and composited in XSI.
The matte for the road worksy stuff on the left was made in Combustion, and some of the unwrapping was in 3ds max 8 (trying out the pelt mapping whatsit)

New Tracking Tests
We’ve done a couple of more tracking tests with one of the models. We’ve used XSI this time using different passes. Also comped in XSI’s FX tree
